Charcoal tablets for wind and dirarrea?

hi there.

have any of you guys tried charcoal tablets to help with wind and dirarrea? I'm considering them.

    Hi, no I've not tried this! I'm suppose to be taking mezaline to stop bleeding but I've ok y taken it once! It made the blood dark and black. I only got diagnosed last week however I'm training my mind not to worry and I think it's helping!

    With the wind etc have you looked at the foods your eating? Just incase you can eliminate things that could possibly make you gassy first of all?

      Usually darker coloured blood comes from further up the bowel or from taking iron tabs. It is worthy taking ur  mesalzine as it has anti inflammatory properties unless u have any allergies to it. MJ

    Yeah they are not bad but imodium (loperamide) is much more effective. I started it and taking tab twice a day. Life is much better Also lots foods containing sulfur can cos gas. MJ

    Hi Susan my wife Marie has just been diagnosed with UC we are looking at all options of medication and treatment at this stage

    Charcoal tablets is an option that we will bring up at our next hospital visit
