Chest infection and fever

I got diagnosed with a chest infection yesterday morning, my heart is racing and I've got a temp. I went to the hospital 2 nights ago because I was scared about sepsis and they said they aren't concerned and gave me painkillers to keep my temp down. Today I've had the chills and I woke up really hot and my hearts racing again and it won't calm down. I'm really scared, I've also come on my period, shall I go back to the hospital? My heart rate won't calm down

I suffer with panic disorder too

Has your GP provided a script with a course of medication ?

Chest infections at this time of year can be extensive and varied where Antibiotics may not be the best way forward.

If you are suffering a congestion  it may be a good idea to ask a chemist for a decongestant medication.

If you have been discharged on A and E I would advise you talk to your GP for treatment suggestions. Hospital for this sort of problem is a poor way of using health resources.

It would seem you have Health Anxiety, if this is the case make an appointment with your GP and the Practice will arrange a treatment pathway for you to follow. All I can say and advise regards above is as you await an appointment have words with a chemist, they will advise linctus to take if you have not got one already
