i started having panic attacks at the beginning of may and was in hospital for 5 days ans they diagnosed me with acute anxiety. i havent been able to leave the house since i got out of hospital because i have a panic attack everytime i do and feel extremely dizzy and light headed, even just looking outside makes me panic. but im really worried, ive been having chest pain for a couple weeks now but i all of a sudden just had a shooting stabbing pain in the left side of my chest so i thought i was having a heart attack and started crying panicking thinking i was going to die. is this pain normal and just because of anxietyand panic attacks or should i be more worried? as im writing this my cheat feels so tight whereas it usually feels more light, im really really worried any advice would be helpful thank you

Evening Sienna so sorry to hear your suffering. It's not nice.

I'm no professional but I have experienced many panic attacks over the years.

I have experienced different symptoms with this.

What you are experiencing is panic attacks with chest pain.

The muscles in our bodies tighten up and the aniexty looks for a weakness.

When our body goes into fight or flight mode our body sets off different emotions.

    We end up hyperventilating.

The brain sets off adrenaline rush and this triggers the hormones to get a rapid heart beat.

You will probably get clammy with this.

Everything with aniexty will find a weakness. now your chest is feeling tight is so common.

Have you been to a therapy class?

have you you spoke to your doctor?

Your welcome these groups are for sharing.

Can you not get a emergency appointment with your doctor? I know its a nightmare waiting time but if your worried just remember all the vital tests have come back normal. It's easy to think the worse. I have suffered so understand what your going through.

Have a read up in the local areas that have mental health centres.

It's very good to hear your results were fine. Put it this way if you ever had anything to worry about they would of kept you in.

In the chemist they have these jelly dissolving sweets called Rescue melody.

Maybe give them a try and see if you can get out the house. Even go to somewhere where nobody is. You may feel comfortable like the woods, the park. A quiet walk

Hi, I have also had panic attacks for almost a year already and have gotten the same symptoms you have had. I have been to the hospitals so many times i cant remember and they have told me nothing is wrong with me. Whenever i feel any little thing or symptom i get scared im also going to die and go to the hospital. I have done every single test and scan and they have found nothing and tell my anxiety is a strong thing and can make you feel your dying and give you all these symptoms when its really nothing serious. The chest pains you describe if they have done many tests and an xray then it should be nothing worrisome.
