Chest pain and arms going numb

Hi.

When i am in bed at night, i sleep on my back mostly and nearly every night i wake in the middle of the night to find that both my left and right arms have gone completely numb and i havent been squashing the arms as i have been laying on my back.

The other night, however, in addition to the numb arms i also felt chest pain on the left side. i have felt this chest pain occasionally.

If i sit up in bed then the numb arms start to return to normal and the chest pain seems to disappear.

What could this be? maybe a sign of a heart attack?

i am quite a big drinker as well, i go the pub about 3-4 times per week and drink quite a lot of an evening.
