Chest Pain and Nausea?

I thought it was over, but obviously not. I’m in month six of my illness, and am now unemployed as a result.
For the past week, I have been getting repeated nausea during different times of the day. It usually starts early in the morning around 8 AM and lasts on and off during the day. It comes back again at 8 PM at night. Unusual patterns, but it was like this before I got diagnosed.
I also get chest ‘pain’ when I walk. It’s not really a pain, but more of a squeezing sensation. It feels like my chest is being crushed under an invisible weight. On Friday, it actually left me almost gasping for breath.
At first, I thought it was indigestion. I took rennies, and they didn’t work. Took a few pregnancy tests, and they were completely negative. So what I’m thinking now is, has it come back full force?
I have also been getting a vertigo like dizziness. I will get a little light headed when I’m walking and my chest starts tightening up. I also got it last night, but it wasn’t the spinning type. I felt like I was rocking from side to side in my bed, almost like boat movements.
Would it be worth going to a doctor about this? I’ve been with lingering symptoms before, and all they have done is prescribe antibiotics for ‘chest infections’ or ‘mild pneumonia’ and sent me home. They can also say: “it’s only Glandular Fever. We can’t do anything to help you. You’ll have to learn how to put up with it.’

Hi butterfly,
All I Can say is that this is a lengthy illness.....my turn around point was at about 12 months....after this point I had a great stretch of 9 weeks, then a few days of tiredness etc but I'm back coasting again.
Im so sorry to hear that you have lost your job, getting back to full health is much more important, I hope you have people around who can support you.
Please don't be too despondent, things will change around and get better. It is slow but it is happening slowly. I think it's the relapses when it comes back are the most difficult to deal with. After 9 weeks I thought there is no way I could possibly feel ill again but gf doesn't like to disappoint!!
take care

HI butterfly, I’m sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time with mono.
I can tell you I’ve had a lot of these symptoms - chest pain, breathlessness, dizzy spells... if they are new for you though, I personally would go see a doctor. I know it can be incredibly frustrating to get the same answers but you don’t want to miss anything serious 😥
Hang in there!
