Chest pain on left side, have had cough on and off for a month

Hello!

I have had an on and off cough for about a month. About five days ago, I started having pain in my left chest below my breast. It is localized to one spot, and not triggered by coughing or inhaling. I cannot figure out what triggers it, but it will hurt for maybe three seconds and hurt again 30ish minutes later- all day long. It is not super painful, just concerning.

I just had an apt. with my Dr. about a week and a half ago for unrelated issue so I am planning on waiting out this pain to see if it lasts another week?

Has anyone experienced this before?
