Chest Pain or Anxiety?

So, I've been dealing with chest pain for a while now, maybe three years. It comes in different forms quite a lot of the time. Sometimes it's really bad, bad enough I literally can't bring myself to move about. Usually though, its just a dull pain, not really bad but never really gone. recently though its been worse than ever and I've found myself struggling to work and do things happily.

I recently visited the doctor due to this and this was because it really was starting to hurt but after a few blood checks, an ECG and an x-ray. I was told there was nothing wrong. Now I am left kind of not knowing what to do now.

Now though things seem to be getting a bit worse for me. I am having moments where I find my self feeling breathless, I feel my heartbeat very strongly and get a feeling of not wanting to move. The problem I have with this is that I'm pretty sure I am just imagining things but I don't know why. I don't really have any reasons to be worried about this but sometimes I nearly start panicking because of it.

I'm thinking of going back to my doctors but I'm not too sure if I should just due to the fact that I feel I might just be imagining all these things now.

I just really want to know if this is something along the lines of anxiety or something else.

Thanks.

    Hey,

Surprised to see no one has commented yet. I have been experiencing similar chest pains for over a year and it still terrifies me. I have had all the same tests as you and they haven't found anything - been told to take painkillers and start on sertraline.

It is really hard work just to believe that it's just anxiety but keep doing your best and be gentle with yourself, emotionally and physically

Also, are you underweight by any chance? I feel my heartbeat very strongly too and that is something I believe is a contributing factor
