Chest pain,Squeezing when nervous/Driving. Help please

Sometimes when I drive I will get extreme chest pressure or squeezing. The squeezing will happen when I'm in a real nervous situation and it will leave quick when I calm down. One time I was driving and I started hyperventilating I think and I had the chest pressure and squeezing. I stopped and got out the car and it immediately went away.

The doctors said after many tests from my heart and blood it's just anxiety.

Is this actually the muscles tightening up? I can't take this anymore.. I've tried so much upper body stretching, meditation and not much relief. What can help stop this? I know we can't use muscle relaxers with ssris

I also have had anxiety issues for the past year and a half. Normally I gave head pressure and wooziness issues but today, like you, I have a weird chest feeling. I keep thinking I am going to have a heart attack. I got an attack today in the supermarket. I think I have anxiety over my mom. She is 90 and just made a move from Florida to New York and I know she is nervous about being in a strange apartment in a town she doesn't know. I think the stress of her being nervous is making me a nervous wreck. We are staying with her for her first night to make her comfortable but I know when we leave tomorrow she is going to be stressed and so will I. Right now I just want to make it through the night. I am really worried. I have been checking my pulse and it is around 74 which is good. Anxiety sucks. Sorry for the long rant but it is good to get it off my chest.

I'm in Florida and I understand that move can be stressful. I was checking my blood pressure and pulse all day today aswell it was normal 120s/80s. I used to suffer from brain fog and that whoosh feeling and severe head pressure but it all stopped from just muscle relaxation and I stopped worrying about it and it all left. It was so bad at one point I went to the hospital. But it seems my anxiety keeps changing up symptoms

You have to believe this is an anxiety symptom and that it does pass for this to calm down. Make sure you donr  have actuve GERD going on too.  Practice proper breathing every day theres a belly breathing app get it and keeo, practicing so when you need it your mind goes straight to it.. and ice chios in the car are usful. Put  an ice chips under your tongue it sidetracks the body to go and regukate your body  temoerature. so it  buys you a bit of time.

I never got tested for gerd. I do notice sometimes I get food stuck in my throats a lot/chest but I heard tight muscles can cause that. Aswell as anxiety messing with the digestive system.
