Chest pains.. help

Hello

Yesterday I had random chest pains, it then made me feel very light headed and very dizzy. This was then accompanied by a lot of shooting pains in my left hand and pain in my back. Since then I have not felt right and although the pain isn’t as bad, it still has been coming and going today, with me feeling like I’m short of breath. I visited the doctors who took my pulse and listened to my breathing and said it sounds and looks perfectly normal.. but I am still feeling unwell and the symptoms are still there. Need some advice on what to do from here. Thanks.

Didn't your Dr do an ecg and BP, how old are you, had you been doing manuel labour, do you have good posture, do you spend a lot of time on computer

If your Dr had thought their was a problem with your heart I would have thought he would send you to A&E

Thanks for the reply, no my doctor didnt do any of that. I was expecting some more from my doctor too if im honest, but after listening to my breathing and heart rate he assumed everything was fine. I am 24 years old, i dont do any manual labour and yes i sit by a computer for 8 hours a day. again waking up today i still have a heavy chest pain and feeling out of breath

It could of course be possible that your suffering with anxiety and extremely poor posture if your on your computer 8 hours a day.

At 24 your doctor should be able to assess your hearts health by just having a listen but because you are having issues believing its nothing serious you need to go back and explain how you are feeling and tell them your scared they have missed something.

I'm sure they haven't but if you don't deal with this now it could become a major health phobia.

Do you work in IT or do you just spend time on the computer

I'm glad you have chosen to go and talk to your GP as I'm sure that once your mind is eased your body will also begin to feel better.

Whereabouts is your pain mostly as it could definitely be repetitive strain

It comes and goes more than anything, the chest bit is probably the least, the random pains in my left hand worry me the most, this is always followed with back pains, almost as if ive been winded

Again until you see your GP nothing anyone can say will ease your worries, your not left handed I presume
