chest tightness and difficulty breathing

about a year ago while I was in Washington state I was diagnosed with the walking pneumonia and I got the antibiotic and and got an inhaler. I got better then I came back home to SC and everything was good for awhile but then I started having difficulty breathing where my chest would tighten up and I would wheeze. I also constantly cough up green mucus and sometimes clear mucus will accumulate in the back of my throat. Now it has gotten worse. I'll wake up in the middle of the night because I can't breathe and throughout the whole day my chest will be tight. simple things like laughing will cause my chest to tighten up to where it becomes super difficult to breathe. it even hurts when I attempt to take a deep breath. I've had it constantly throughout the year so I know it's not seasonal and i don't have anxiety.

Hi,  If I were you I would defo get referred to a respiratory specialist.  The best way to diagnose what's going on is to have a CT scan.

Please let us know how you get on.

I am a firm believer in getting a second and even third doctor to look at me. Especially if you are still not feeling well and honey it's gone on too long for you. I agree with cofalot you need to see a specialist. I am getting my referral set up for my to see a Pulmonary specialist, because I have had a DRY cough for 3 months and a fluttery feeling in my chest. This will be my 4th doctor and I've had 2 rounds of meds. So I feel your pain, but get yourself to a doctor ASAP. Your lungs are nothing to mess around with.
