Chiari AGAIN?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I was diagnosed with Chiari II in the spring of 2003. I was herniated with syngromila. The intense headaches and drop spells ended. Now, 14 years later, I'm having headaches again with new symptoms. Memory loss, difficulty concentrating, arm and middle ring and pinky finger numbness, neck and shoulder pain. I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues this many years later.

Simple answer yes. Had decompression and cauterisation in 2008 and are getting the symptoms back again. Had a new MRI and neurosurgoen reported no problems, happy with initial operation. Had lumbar puncture to see if CSF pressure was high, it was a little but again neurosugeon said it was acceptable. For two weeks after he drew some fluid off for testing symptoms cleared but came back. Still awaiting an answer.

I heard that from quite a few people, do you live a normal live.. (I mean..my NS told me that after decompress I should accept my condition and take it easy if I do not want to have it again...)..when did you feel that symptom again, did you ask your doctor to refer you to Neurologist
