chickenpox. really need help pleas

Hi everyone. There is chickenpox going about at the moment and I've never had chicken pox as a child. When I was younger both my sisters had them and I never contracted them even though I was around all the time. I'm now 24. Has anybody here ever got the vaccination for it and if so is there any side effects.should i get the vaccination?im scared if I get it it will be very serious. I also have a two year old who hasn't had them either. Feeling worried

    Go get a pn antibody blood tests. You might be immuned. If your sisters had and you never caught it you might be happily surprised. Just a blood tests easy enough. If you dont have antibodies get the vaccine. Good vaccine. Both my daughters got the vaccine.

      I went to my docs this morning explaining that I was worried and he said if I did get them that I shouldn't worry and that it wouldn't be serious. Was the vaccine OK ? Did it cause any side effects or anything X

      One of my daughter got a very mild case and that was that. The ither i dint remeber much of anything. I guess your doc didnt want to give you the vaccine?
