Child Elbow Pain

Hello all

Bit of an odd one, just looking for any suggestions or advice.

My just turned 14 year old son has been suffering with elbow pain for about 8 months now.

It started when he was lifting some weight with a friend. There was a clicking and locking for a few weeks, this eased with rest. Since then lots and lots of rest but still pain when even slightly loaded.

He has had a couple of trips to see a consultant, an x-ray and an MRI. Nothing found, inclusing no obvious inflammation. The takeaway was more rest and I guess the hope that he grows out of it.

Can anybody suggest other causes or avenues to try?
