Chlamydia into Prostatitis 4 months still having issues. 22yrs old.

Some background, I’m 22, 6'1 275 pounds, I got infected with chlamydia by a lady friend sometime in the summer, symptoms showed in October very rapidly and painfully, after 2 10 days of doxy to kill it I still had symptoms so this is what urologist choose to do, 2 weeks of cipro, 3 weeks of levaquin and bactrim together and ten more days of cipro, now I’m waiting on a cystoscopy in a couple days to see what’s going on. Since all of this my already bad anxiety and depression have worsened I’ve been suicidal the last 3weeks with no attempts. My urologist suspects interstitial cystitis which I now is even more difficult to treat. That is I’m not sure what my future with this is going to be. Is he giving me the right meds for the appropriate amount of time? The only tests we do are urine tests and they always come back clean, are there other tests I should be pushing for? My lady friend and I are wanting to try for a child within the next year but sex is too unpleasant  is that a reasonable amount of time to go through all of this. Any experts or people with similar stories any help will do.

i believe sperm tests are a more reliable guide to any hidden infections or underlying problems!!often infections are not in the bladder/urinary tract!! and if clear its another positive.......all the best with your next  Uro..

Good news is he doesn't think I have intersitial cystitis, bad news is he was pretty useless and his bedside manner was terrible. So off to another urologist.

So all in all I'm still dealing with these issues over a year later. My cystoscopy shower nothing inordinary and several doctors who have felt my prostate said it feels fine. I was told that I could possibly have an anal fissure because of all the blood that I had been pooping and that could be the cause of my symptoms. I had got better after using creams for my alleged fissure and for my large hemorrhoids. I'm going in for a hemorrhoidectomy soon and I'm extremely nervous nothing with change. its been a long time since i felt normal.
