Stemetil (prochlorperazine 5mg) is more powerful at combatting acute symptoms of Meniere's but will likely make you drowsy! It also comes as Buccastem which is a small tablet you dissolve under your top lip - useful if you are suffering severe nausea and cannot keep anything down. I always carry both as my 'first aid kit' in case I get caught out, but do not take routinely as they are powerful sedatives and tend to be less effective over time.
Hopefully you are also taking Betahistine whilst waiting for consultant as it is designed to treat the cause (unlike Stemetil) and may save you from progressively worse hearing damage and tinnitus.
