Hi

Just got a health check, I am told I must

Follow a low fat diet.

Looked online for a plan or book, but can not find what I need.

Low fat , vegetarian and IBS.

Maybe no book will cover all my health issues, but any suggestions please

Many thanks

Junie

It's not too hard, Nutrisystem or Weight Watchers.  Or even Zone I think.  They're pretty similar these days I believe.

    Hello junieju,

First of all, I'm not a doctor, so the following is my non-medical professional.

I've read a dozen or more books, some by very highly regarded cardiologists, and I've come to the conclusion that a low-sugar, low carb diet is better for me than the low fat diet that has been pushed on society for the last 50 years.  If low fat is so good, why is heart disease the number one killer in the USA?

Dr. Sinatra has a written a wonderful book entilted "The Cholesterol Myth."  It takes the reader through the history of how cholesterol and fat erroneously got a bad name.

I can't remember the TOS of this forum by making the above recommendation.  If I did, my apologies.
