Cholesterol and high levels in liver

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi, for the past 6 years or so my partner has been going to the toilet straight after eating fatty foods or lightly fatty. He eventually went to the doctors a couple of months ago. he has had all hepatitus bloods taken and an ultrasound that came back fine, however he has high cholesterol and his liver has shown to have 'high levels'. The doc has now transferred him as she said it is out of her field now but he has has to have bloods taken for HIV, altoh she said his characteristics for it arnt showing and the priority for it is only normal not urgent. This obviously has us both worried. Has anyone else had or having a similiar experience? We thought it could just be fatty liver disease...

    Hi helen1983

After reading your post, I to was going to say it could be a fatty liver, but as your doctors are saying its out of her field and your boyfriend has to now go for an HIV blood test, sounds very upsetting. Why would they want him to go for this test, and if he has been displaying these signs of going to the loo after each fatty meal that he eats over six years, why has he waited this long, for help. Please get this test done asap to rule out HIV. Wishing you both good results. Please reply with as much info as you both will feel happy with sharing on this forum. xx:-)

Hi Angela, the hiv test is apparently just procedure as his immune system is low. We have been researching coeliac disease and he has all of the symptons for that so maybe that is it? He didnt think much of his symptons at first he just thought but as time has gone on he has got fed up of it. Its not every single meal we have just put it down to fatty foods.

      Hi helen1983

Sorry for taking this long to answer you back. So you have been checking out coeliac disease, and you think, your partner has all the symptons. Well go back to your doctor if you can get an appointment before xmas, and see if she can get him to see a specialist now or for the New Year.  Have a lovely xmas, and I hope you get everything sorted. smile
