The bladder can be disturbed quite a bit during pelvic surgery.

If it continues up till your post check.up i wou!d surely mention it.

I didnt have any blafder issues after mine at all but all consultants do thete repairs differently i know that.

Its because you had a catheter in, lots of people get UTI's, I did, and it was really painful.

Very early in your recovery, especially as you had both prolapses done. You'll probably have more problems with the posterior one, they are more painful. Rest as much as you can, feet up, no bending lifting or standing for long. Too much pressure on your repairs, you need to give them a good chance to heal. No straining to go to toilet, take movicol/laxido etc for bowels. You've had a huge operation, be very careful, you don't want it to fail.

    Hi Chris,

I had an anterior repair last dec for really bad bladder prolapse and it took months for me to feel better. Then I fell on the ice in Feb which led to a urethral sling surgery a week and a half ago.Are you resting alot? After my anterior repair my urologist told me not to be on my feet more than 30 min at a time and to basically do nothing!Hope you start feeling better soon!
