    Deuar Sueliz57,

I've had ME/CFS for 17 years. The best answer I can think of to your question is to PACE yourself, DELEGATE and  ask for help. Unfortunately we cannot expect all family and friends to understand the severity of our condition so we have to take the lead.

To illustrate my last point, I received a very generous gift of essential oils "known" to produce energy - ah, if only life were so easy.

You know your limits, don't be guilted or pushed into overdoing things.

Have a very Merry Christmas.   Karin

Thank you Karin yes that's pretty much what I thought, it's trying not to kid yourself you can do it all isn't it? And a merry Christmas to you!

It's tough to come to terms with the present you, especially if you were a very active person before ME/CFS. Things do change for some people and I hope you are one of them.

I'm actually thinking of hiding throughout the holiday.  Thanksgiving nearly killed me, and I can't imagine what another holiday would do to me.  This is a terrible answer, I'm sure, but I think that is what I have to do.

hi, my advice is don't invite extra guests and buy everything ready made- including mash! I did that last year and enjoyed the day. Good luck xxx
