CHRISTMAS PRESENT TO MYSELF

Posted , 3 users are following.

Well xmas cometh once a year , and by the letters of cancellation that keep dropping thr my letterbox looks like my appt with the consultant will be just as long !!!!!!

Physio appt is in January , but had a letter today to cancel my appt for March ( that was long enough) but now its the end of April my patience is running out !!!!!!

So whilst struggling round i spied in the Charity shop a wheelchair , got my Daughter to give me a ride in it whilst in the shop , so I think i will go back tomorrow and treat myself to a xmas present , cos the way the appts are going I am going to need one , I am really struggling to get around in the house my muscles just do not respond, so doing anything is difficult , but i wont give in , feel sorry for my family as my temper sometimes gets the better of me with frustration , but they take it all in their stride , and my grandaughters just say "has nanny got one of her heads on today " and just laugh .

I wish you all out there a very happy xmas and also a pain free one (if thats possible )

God bless x

I had the guy around from the Council to measure up my bathroom , I was surprised that he said it would be a wet area with a shower curtain and the area not as long as my bath !!!! , not sure how this will suit  but I shall await his plans and see .

I can so empathise with you. I was referred to the rheumatology consultant to verify that I have Sjorken's syndrome along with my fibro. I was delighted when my appointment was made for Dec 9th. The week before this was cancelled and I was asked to contact the appointment centre to make a new appointment, the earliest I could have was January 12 th, not too bad. A letter was sent out to confirm, the following day a letter came to cancel this appointment and asking me to contact the appointment centre again to re book. This was duly done, but this time I was told they couldn't re-book, and as it was a Saturday, would I phone back on Monday, when they had a chance to speak to the consultant's secretary. When I phoned back, I was given an appointment for May the 17th!! Apparently, the rheumatology department are not taking any more new patients until then! In the meantime, I am expected to wait patiently and put up with the symptoms!!!

I just wait for the next cancellation!

    Sorry, rant over!

I too would like to wish you a happy Christmas and as comfortable and pain free one as possible. X
