I have similar problems with my back regular - i have Oesteoarthritis in my lower spine - sacral - even the simplest of tasks on a bad day make me cry !

i am yet to see a spinal specialist to find out what he suggests is the best way to help me because all codiene dose tablets and 400mg ibruprofen have stopped working! im immune!

I hope they find a better way to help you rather than fob you off with a higher dosage x

    Hi Angie

I know I'm late answerinng this post but like you I have OA in my neck, spine, both hips NOT feet but ankles and across my lower back.

I have kyphoscoliosis which is a C shaped curve in my spine and a slight hump at the top......my spine is very sore. After my 2nd hip replacement {Jan} I fractured my greater trochantor bone {top of my hip} in Feb, they cant do anything about it so 7 months later I'm still on 2 crutches.....thats not helping my right arm and shoulder so thats been added to everything.

I'm only on paracetamol and naproxen Oh and codeine 2x15mg a day and none of it does much good.

I'm going back to see the consultant....hope they can find something to help you....you dont want to keep upping doses of morphine

    Good Luck

    Love

      Hi Angie

I saw the consultant last night about the fracture in my hip....He x rayed it and said there was no change....hadnt got any worse so he didnt know why I should have more pain.... So I have another appointment with him in 2 weeks time to draw some fluid from my hip to check that there isnt any infection.

I've got an appointment with the pain clinic at the beginning of November.

Originally when i saw them the sent me to a "Chronic pain management group" Not sure if it the same sort of thing. We meet once a month. Its a good group....the person taking it doesnt really help one particular person but he starts it and then we get so much advise from the others and from him as well.....but its not like going to see a consultant. More of a social group. We get on so well that this month for the first time he cant make it so a lot of us are meeting up anyway to have coffee and chat and see if anyone can help anyone else.

Hope it works out for you

      Love

    Hello Angie,

Yep, I have all those things you have and all the emotional hurt that goes along with them, my son is in his 30's now, but, he has had to help me out on numerous occasions!  still does of couse!  It is an awful feeling when your children have to do for you what you should be doing for them isn't it?  sad

I have actually been back to the Doctors just last week about my back, my problem started when I was pregnant, it damaged my back the way the baby was lying, I was advised not to have any more babies because of that.

Doc says nothing can be done really, my bones and my muscles are very bad, I just have to live with it, I've been doing that for 35 years!   I think we find our own way of coping don't you?   Although the pain is so severe, I cry often, and I'm not a 'mardy' person...but, this pain is as unbearable as pain gets isn't it?! cry

I hope I haven't made you feel worse Angie?  sorry if I have.....

Just wanted to let you know there are others out here who have the same symtoms and feelings as yourself.

    I wish you well,

    Take care,

    Best wishes.

    xx
