Chronic BV / Bacterial Vaginosis

So about 6 months ago I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with BV and Yeast infections. They gave me pills for it which I didn't finish (my bad) and ever since I've always been infected with it until now. It's always BV and Yeast. Yesterday I went to the clinic to get tested and said all good except clue cells were still positive.

SO I think I figured it out. Been reading online about it and apparently the bacteria that causes BV has created a biofilm that antibiotics can't penetrate through. Metronidazole and all that helps but doesn't eradicate and destroy the biofilm which is why it just adds up and keeps creating a cycle.

I heard that boric acid helps destroy biofilms but a lot of reviews says otherwise. I'm trying out probiotics (Lactobacillus casei v. rhamnosus Doderlein) inserted vaginally as I heard they can destroy biofilms. I've heard soaking a tampon in salt and inserting it for 2 hours also helps but I'm a bit skeptical about it. Does anyone have any cure to this?

    Vitamin c with rose hips 1000mg x2a day

    Vitamin d3

    Probiotics 

    Wash water only

    plenty water cut back white bread alcohol

    recently got tested to double make sure was gone swab test at nurse few days later results all negative I hope this works for you good luck x

    The vitamin c with rosehips  from Holland and barret keeps immune system good and fixes the lining of the v and no smell no discharge nothing back to normal.

      If you still find it’s still there last resort do 7 day course of balance active gel get them online ,  just to encourage  healthy bacteria to grow back , your body will heal in no time wish you well x

      I don't live in the States and we don't have balance active gel here sad i tried vitamin d3 before, didn't do anything. the only thing that has helped so far was probiotics 20 billion which i'm increasing to taking 60 billion now. i'll try vitamin c 3 with rose hips. heard folic acid helps too?

      Folic acid hellped reduce the smell a bit. Mine won't go away either. All the antibiotics make it worse. I don't know what to do. Probiotics do help, a bit. It's still there I take 100 billion a day and it reduces the smell. But it feels like the probiotics are just coming in and going out and not really adhearing to me. I'm gonna try probiotics vaginally when I get more money. Because this mess has really been robbing my pockets

      I'll give it a try to see if maybe it works on me. And i feel you! All my monthly savings are used to go back and forth to the doctor for quick relief only. I'm using gynophilus right now to see if maybe it helps. Good luck to you! If you find a cure please let me know sad

      Amazon sell them balance active gel if not I’ll post some over to you. 

      Trust me vitamin C with rosehips will sort you out it’ll heal the area Inside and helps immune system be strong

    Hi. Sorry you are dealing with this. And you are correct. I’m in exact same boat. I did try solosec on Monday. A new drug on market but I also went to a natropathic dr yesterday and she gave me a cocktail of things to break down biofilm. I would suggest doing that bc until biofilm is gone, nothing will work. 

    Another lady gave me something else to try if all of this doesn’t work. Hope this helps!

      Also wanted to add. What kind of yeast is it? I ended up with glabrata yeast a week after Bv. I had to use iv micafungin for five weeks to clear it.

      I don't live in the States so getting access to Solosec would be impossible or extremely pricey sad the doctor gave me metronidazole, fluconazole, and azithromycin which helps - all test results came back negative but clue cells are positive - I'm just scared it'll come back soon. What did the doctor tell you to do to destroy the biofilm? and its candida yeast

    I have no cure :”( I have chronic BV and have tried antibiotics and home remedies. You are right about the biofilm I also read up abot that. How antibiotics dont penetrate it etc. its so sad 😢 I wish someone could just find women like us a cure. I have tried the tampon soaked in warm water and sea salt (soak 15-20 mins before inserting) and leave for 2 hours in the morning and before bed, it helps with odor, but doesnt cure it.

      Yes, it’s the most stubborn thing. Try calling a natropathic dr. They treat and can breakdown biofilms. I just started that process two days ago but I read that’s the only way.

      I do believe that would be my only remaining option at this point. Thank you, hoping it will heal me 😢 just want to live a normal life again.

      I got cured by taking 

      X2 vitamin C with rosehips 1000mg a day 

      Vitamin d 3 

      Opticbac for women 

      Wash with just water cut out white bread and limited alcohol intake and drank more water all cured been twice for swabs still all gone grateful, try and see hope this works for every woman suffering.

      how long do i have to cut out carbs for? i can't give up pizza for the rest of my life biggrin i just purchased the vitamin c with rosehips. do you take it orally or do you insert it?

      Take orally 👍😊worked for me still cured two months on never felt better , hope works wonders for you. I just cut out white bread for like two weeks tried best for body to clear itself and time too heal x
