Chronic Congestion

Hi everyone,

I'm into 2 & half months since the onset of mono symptoms. Thankfully, since the past week the heaviness of the fatigue has slowly been lifting. I can do simple things, like walk, drive, etc. Not a whole ton, but it's progression compared to when i was completely incapacitated,

My question is... do any of you suffer from chronic nasal congestion? after about the first week of symptoms, my nose got a bit stuffy, but progressively became worse. it got so bad i couldnt breath through my nose at all for well over a month. its somewhat improved, but still congested throughout the day. its not accompanied with a cough, frequent sneezing, sore throat, etc.

had anyone else dealt with this? because i was forced to breath out of my mouth for well over a month, i became breathless easily because my lung capacity diminished. im breathing through my nose again, but wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this.

Hi Matthew: I'm glad to read your fatigue is lifting. I hope you continue to feel relief. I have not had congestion to the degree you describe but have consistently been stuffy. In the beginning I had this crazy band of pressure that went through my nose/mouth/ears. Then I had terrible rawness in my nose and under the skin of my nose. It is still there but varies in degree from week to week at this point. Consistently the tip of my nose tingles and I feel pressure around it and my front teeth. My nose "drips" throughout the day and (not to be gross) dense yellow mucus comes out in the morning when I blow it. Omega 3 and glutamine have helped with the rawness.
