Chronic Fatigue

Apaolgies for the length of this message but I find it cathartic to type. I have been suffering for 4 years, Originally diagnosed with fibromyalgia after the usual old chestnuts were wheeled out ... menopause, ageing, 'going through a lot', (father died, mum in a home). Eventually had a thyroid blood test which proved I was underactive. I assumed all would be well once my meds were in place. I've been going from bad to worse to downright unbearable, I am in such pain and am aching in parts I didn't even know I had. My glands are swollen in my neck . The all over body pain is doing its best to compete with each other part to see who gets it worse, My head is banging I feel like I've beeN beaten up to within an inch of my life. I just don't know what to d any more. It's driving me crazy. Leaving the house is a major ordeal. I had to give up work. What I guess I want to know is this normal for people with this condition. I never have a 'good day'. Each day is torturous and all I want to do is sleep. Ny doctors don't appear to know what to do and neither so I. It is all getting to be too much. I am 57 and appear 107. Is my life going to be like this forever? I've done all the tips. I've been to yoga. Acupuncture. Nothing helps I can hardly move my arms. Can't pick anything up. Swollen glands. It's a nightmare and O never have one good day .

I would second what Tracy says. I was diagnosed with CFS and one of the many symptoms was pretty much permanent swelling of the lymph node in the throat, it feels similar to when you want to cry and you get a lump. Do you got palpitations and a rushing anxiety feeling in the chest at all? Long story short for me was my debilitating symptoms for 4 years ended up being food allergies so I would definitely explore a test as part of your journey. I would'nt waste your time and energy doing the eliminating thing as if you are allergic to random foods like vanilla for example you will be none the wiser so I would say do a test at doctors or private.
