Chronic fatigue/ME

I am starting to regain some energy, and am trying to do more (with caution) but stil seem to end up overdoing it and and ending up with fatigue that not only prevents me from doing things but makes me very muddleheaded.
Being able to take some exercise has lowered my high blood pressure, so I am trying to find a balance of enough exercise to keep the blood pressure low and not too much so as to end up fatigued again. Any helpful suggestions out there?

Your idea of a mobile alarm is a good one. It is so hard to stop doing stuff when you actually feel alright. If only we had energy level guages on our arms so we could check them out and stop when they need refilling! Am suffering today just because I did 20 minutes instead of 10 on the exercise bike, and neglected to lie down and do nothing for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Silly me! I am still learning though, only had this since January. So I will be looking out for any advice given by others in answer to your query.
Take care, rest up and keep your blood pressure low!

Advice about pacing from Sally is good, and Toby Morrison worth listening to.

I gave into the temptation to cut "a little bit" of hedge. I'm now left with a body that is screaming at me that I have overdone it and the frustration of a half cut hedge that I am desperate to finish. It's like having a split personality. Oh well, this is the first major whoops in quite a while.

I'm not aware of any evidence that supports this claim. Unfortunately, a lot of the people making money from CBT and GET have shown themselves to be rather untrustworthy, and can end up really misleading patients. Best of luck with whatever helps, but I'd be really interested to know how they justify making a claim like that.
