Chronic illness is killing me

I've been sick for a few years now and have had every medical testing done. The abdominal pain is growing every day. Every time I try to eat the pain gets worse and vomiting starts. The doctors have basically laughed me our of their office. So now I sit at home with an ice pack on my tummy to try and keep the pain down enough to bare. I've lost my whole life. I can't walk, sleep or simply enjoy a good movie through this pain. I'm slowly watching myself die. I'm not expecting a response simply cause I know that nobody can help me. Atleast I know once I'm dead, I won't feel this horrendous pain and with any luck. I might see my mom again. Thanks for reading my thoughts. I have no one to share them with anymore.

Unfortunately I've been to the ER more than I can count. I've had numerous testing done. And although I've been told they can't see everything in my abdomen they've stopped helping. I don't care to be exposed to anymore radiation from all that testing. I'm surprised I don't glow in the dark or stick to my fridge by now.

I was thinking in terms of ultrasound which is relatively safe. Are there any foods you don't throw up. Pre digested food. liquid diet. Have you swallowed a camera so doctors can take a look. Has your feces been examine d.

Ultrasound has been done....they've done fecal lab testing as well. Any amount of food that adds substance to the bowel seems to cause extreme pain. Currently I'm able to drink fat free milk, orange juice and water. Anything with a stimulant eefect causes horrendous pain. Nothing seems to be clearing out of the bowel even though I've been told my intestinal tract is pretty full.

Ultrasound when in pain. and in different stages of your ailment. Also there are nutrition drinks because you are getting no good oils. If you swallow a camera it will exit in you r bowel . doctors have these cameras.

Yes, the endoscopy capsule has been done. No findings other than stool in the bowel. Nutrition drinks have been tried but most cause pain. I can get ensure down from time to time but sometimes it comes up. The ultrasound has been done at all times. The pain is never absent but even at its worse they've never found anything. They report back stating that what they can see appears to be normal. But have consistently told me on every Imaging I've had that they can't see everything in my body

Hopefully you will try some of the non invasive tests again. Maybe with a different staff. Maybe insert pain meds up the bowel

Wendi, I'm having the same issues you are and not one of the Drs. seems to care either. I am in pain and discomfort everyday. I had prostate surgery 6 years ago and something doesn't feel right down below. Iv'e been to many Drs.and no answers whatsoever.  So, please don't feel all alone; I am the same. Once death comes I will finally be at peace and have a lovely heavenly body. The world is becoming such an unfit world anyhow. When I was a kid back in the 50's and 60's it was a much nicer place.

I am here Wendi if you would like someone to talk to.

        Your friend,

          Steve

    dear wendigo,

dont feel like you have to die in order to be reunited with your mom. she is with you now. if i were you, i'd go out and find another doctor for a second opinion. if you've already done that, find a doctor for a third opinion. maybe you have a bad taste in your mouth because of how you were treated by your recent doctors. dont give up just yet...good doctors are out there. i wish you much strength and courage to go out there and find one. you'll be in my thoughts.....i hope you get relief soon

must be hard for you with all the pain suffering. I have a sore knee at the moment and it is hard walking let alone running.

Sore knees are always hard to deal with. It's what helps hold us up. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

thnks and I hope you don't have to suffer and recover if that's possible.

Sorry to hear that Steve! You're not alone in that frustration trust me. I've seen over 20 doctors due to this pain and suffering. I feel as if I've literally been slapped with ignorance and negligence. Laura, thank you for your encouraging words. Much appreciated dear!

Iv'e been up to Mayo clinic, Orlando, Johns Hopkins, all over the place, my dear. So much suffering. I'm tired.  You keep hanging in there  Steve

Yeah, Mayo Clinic had no answers for me either. John Hopkins didn't have availability in their gastroenterology area. I'm hanging in there. But literally by a thread.

I'm wondering if the dr. who did surgery on me six years ago might have done anything wrong. Every urologist Iv'e been to says his surgery looks Good. I'm hanging by a thread, too Wendi, but I'm starting to lose hope

I wonder if you have some sort of nerve damage from the surgery....it'd be a hard thing to test in that area. And although it sounds odd I wonder if you'd get relief from an ice pack or heating pad.
