Chronic Mild Breast Bone Pain

Hi, lately I've been having a mild pain in the middle of my chest(breast bone). The only time I can get a bit of a relief is if I push my chest out just to hear it crack/pop. If I breathe in, I can feel the pain a bit. What exactly is this? I know I will have to see a doctor but it is a bit costly at the moment.

Chest/breast pain needs a medical assessment before you go any further just to be absolutely sure it's non cardiac once that's done you can have a good idea of the treatment you need.

It does sound like a muscular complaint but still for your peace of mind needs checking.

Thank you, Alexandria. Can I go to a general practitioner or what specialist do I need to see?

Yes you can definitely go and see your GP who will do the initial tests and then they will decide if you need further tests and also if you need to be passed onto a consultant of some kind for follow on tests.

Are you in the UK if so that would definitely help the normal procedure anyway

I checked with a GP yesterday and it turns out that I have gastritis. He also wanted to do some additional tests to rule out any other thing. I'm not from the UK.
