They did mri of my whole head and a bunch of blood work.I have had chronic otitis externa .I've been on oral antibiotics and meclizine and prednisone since December Yesterday they gave me Ofloxacin 10 drops in each ear. Today I'm still off but not feeling way outta sorts. I was bending over and when I got up I felt all the liquid go to my forehead and a major headrush. Any one else have it this bad. I had to leave work yesterday I felt like I was gonna fall out as the table held me up. I see ent on the 11th august. Im immune to antibiotics

    Poor you.

As someone who has had severe rotary vertigo I know just how you have been feeling.

The MRI will show up any thing abnormal.

Be patient, hopefully you will soon know the cause of your problem and if it could possibly be associated with otitis externa.

Thanks Audrey today is the worst migraine. I hope these eardrops work faster. I'm tired of being sick and tired. So what was your reason for the rotary vertigo?

Hello Tammie,My vertigo was post Gamma Knife surgery for an acoustic neuroma.A benign tumour on my acoustic nerve. It  was horrid,I never quite knew where my head was.For example as I got in to my bed it seemed as if the mattress flew up  to me.If  I reached out to pick anything up my head got there long before me but in reality my head hadn't moved at all .It is much better 2 years on but my head has never really cleared and I do walk a little like a drunk occasionally.I have an MRI scan every year and so far the tumour has continued to shrink ,however, I have no useful hearing on that side.I  understand that my tumour is not that common. It will be interesting to know what is causing your problem. I hope you are feeling much better soon and your Dr's can find something to help you. .

Bless you Tammie I am sure ,with patience,it will get sorted.

I am retired and live with my dogs.My family are fairly near so really I have few complaints. Just wish it was a bit easier to walk in an absolutely straight line sometimes.x

Hi Audrey we haven't spoke in a while I just had my MRI done today I just got home. Hurry up and wait for the results. How long did it take for your results? It's amazing how that noisy machine made my whole head pound it found headaches I didn't know were there.

Good to hear from you Tammie,

MRI scans are noisy and a bit claustrophobic, I have had so many now, knowing how noisy it will be doesn't seem to matter. I set myself something to think about and the time soon passes.Did you have an injection of a contrast medium before the scan?

The results of my first one were fairly quick to my own Dr.I was then referred to a specialist for care.

I am in UK and I don't think that you are so the system may work differently for you.

Be patient ,it will come. How are you anyway?

      X

      Tammie

However difficult for you the result is essential.

It is like baking a cake and not eating it.

The result can stop all your anxiety and stop your son worrying as well.

Our service is better than yours although it is not perfect.

Please tell me you will find a way to get the report.xx
