Chronic pain after Dissection

Posted , 1 user is following.

I had an aortic Dissection June 19th 2017. I spent several weeks in a coma after having multiple strokes during my surgery. I now have Anoxic Brain injuries to my right frontal lobe.

I live with constant abdominal and flank pain as well as spinal and seizing muscle pain. I was a wildland firefighter for 20 years so some of my spinal injuries come from that.

Not one single doctor seems to understand aortic dissection at all. All I get is "Wow, you shouldn't be alive ..." or some variation thereof. Is chronic pain a real thing with aortic dissection this far out after the even and surgery? I'm still dissected in the lower aorta
