Chronic Pancreatitis

Hello all. Have just now registered with the Group. Reading through all of the entries, I want to say this has been therapeutic in itself.
Have now reached what is written can happen--and that is the diarrhea and pain of a tolerable degree(so far), have come about 17 years after an acute attack of Pancreatitis. At the time it was said to be of the auto-immune variety, despite my mentioning that I was given to drinking more than a little bit at times.
I am booked for an imaging study, and will report in this forum of the outcome and implications.
My age is 79. Personal regards to all.
Harry.

This is a frustrating and little understood disease. Made worse by the lack of research and knowledge by the medical profession.
But on here we can all share our experiences and advice hopefully to help each other. As know but someone who has had an attack will ever understand the pain.
