I’m 27 and I just left my doctors office after finishing up a 30 day levofloxacin treatment that I felt didn’t really clear up my problem because I was still having slight pain during ejaculation and also I have a dull pressure feeling in my butt around the anus and taint they checked me out and when and prescribed me another 2 weeks of levofloxacin and also flomax to see if that helps and if that doesn’t off to urologist I go does anyone have any input on this working and symptoms clearing up cause I really can’t tell the difference. Also I leave for vacation for a week I just wanted your guys opinion on if I waited until after my vacation to start the second round of meds so I can indulge a bit on vacation thanks!

Did they test the first time to see if you had any pathogens in your ruin, seman, or prostate fluid.  If they did an drew you had pathogens did they test you the second time and did you still have pathogen.  I went thru 10 Yates of taking antibiotic without ever testing positive for pathogens.  if you are not showing any pathogens start looking into pelvic floor syndrome as 95% of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis is do to pelvic floor disorder.

The test is next generation DNA sequencing for microbial infection. Not the same as urine sample.

Then I would do your research as I have  many issues from taking to many antibiotic medications over the past 10 year.  Mostly stomach problems but I also belive some of the nerve problems I am facing has something to do with the antibiotics as well.  Cipro. is well documented  as causing nerve damage.

Hello. All you have to do is read about pelvic floor syndrome. Is a problem related with stress, too much sitting, weak pelvic floor, tight pelvic floor muscles, too much ejaculation, and so on. Is well documented. Read here in patient.info and many other sources. Don´t take levo-cipro or another fluoroquinolones: as someone said here, is known to cause peripheral neuropathy. (search google)

Relax and yout butt will heal itself. And enjoy your holidays.

(Many young as you are writing with same problem lately in this forum. Too young for cancer or prostate BPH...)

I was diagnosed with a antibiotic resistant mycoplasma infection that I am fighting. There are quite a few guys here who also came down with 'prostatitis' after receiving oral sex....I do believe there is a new strain of STDs that are resistant to antibiotics that are spreading in the global world.

The DNA test is next for me as well.

After looking Online for info about m gen there is a lot of conflicting information. Almost every std site and government info site says the m gen can be acquired though oral sex. However, if you read the scientific literature, it says that the have not been able to detect it in the throat of people. Most notably sex workers and men who have sex with men. I have also read on the expert forum on this website and in 2014 Dr Hunter Mansfiled has also said that oral transmission is not possible and has never been documented. Why would all the other websites say this. Is it just to scare people into practising safe sex or have I missed something.
