Chronic Sinusitus/Inflammation

Ever since I gave birth I have had sinus infections. I am not sure what's causing them. My daughter would get sick, then I would get sick, then it turns into a sinus infection. Been to an allergist and am fine with environmental and food skin tests. I went to my dentist to make sure I didn't have anything going on. Dentist said I was fine. I have a couple of teeth that need work but nothing stood out as causing the infections. Have had 1 root canal in my life about 20 years ago. So not sure if that is an issue. I really feel like having a weaker immune system with carrying my son and then getting sick right after just lead my body into not fighting it like I normally would when my immune system was healthier. Then I get antibiotics which make my immune system worse and the vicious cycle begins. I have tried conquering it naturally. Tried apple cider vinegar, herbs, diet, turmeric water for inflammation, probiotics, lots of fluids, lots of warm fluids, mucinex, extra vitamin C, nasal sprays, only did a little nasal irrigation. So now I am having a sinus infection from a cold I caught from my daughter and it just turned to where I cannot breathe well out of my nose. I hate this vicious cycle. Anyone consider balloon sinuplasty? I dont have a deviated septum. I hate not being able to breathe! My ears havent been the same with this last infection I had. One ear makes noises all of the time. It doesn't bother me it is all new to me. I am nervous about the chronic infections and hoping I can figure it out. I am venting and just looking for hope. It just feels like forever since I had normal sinuses! I have always been able to go through a box of tissues with a cold. Now it stagnates in my sinuses and no matter what the heck I do I can't get it to drain on my own. All the natural remedies aren't working for me. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I will look into a chiropractor and acupuncture. All these dr visits are costing a fortune. I just want to be done with this chronic crap. Also my nose has been weird with congestion- one side would get blocked then it would switch. So I am thinking inflammation/immune system....

First off this is the perfect site to vent,on, because this ailment is so tricky and it affect a ton of people, me included. I have been suffering for many years with all the issues u have mentioned. I have yet to find anything that give me relief on a consistent basis.

What I have noticed while researching and going through this is that the doctors r kind of off base with their treating of everybody with the above symptoms pretty much the same way. the usually antibiotics, nose sprays, allergy medi's etc. this ailment is different what works for some does not work for others

I have tried acupuncture, I also did the ballon up the nose procedure, I am taken allergy shots taking all meds and still no consistent relief. I too was told that a chiropractic may help with my aliment and that can help with drainage from the nasal passage.

This is not to mention the supplements I also take throughout the day.

I know this did not give u any help I just wanted to let u know that u r not alone with this issue

Man I was hoping the balloon thing would have worked! Thank you for the response- I am learning just how tricky it all is. It's so different for each of us and we have to dr ourselves and try and figure it out. I have had CT's and ones that showed sinus infection and my last one was actually pretty clear last month except one side of my sinuses had some gunk in it- the dr wasn't too concerned with it. My husband doesn't get all of this- he says your CT scan is fine your fine! I said yes I am as of last month but now I have a cold and things change. I have had ear pain (dr thinks TMJ), tooth pain- gotta get that checked again and now the start of another infection. Also -was reading someone saying it can be an autoimmune thing- did you ever get that checked out? I am going next month to see if I have an autoimmune disorder as I did test positive months ago so my dr is sending me to a specialist- other areas of blood test were normal in range so it might have been a false/positive test. So more blood work to see. If so then that would explain the inflammation issue. I thought the balloon procedure would have helped with that?

I hope you get your resolution soon!

No I did not have test for an autoimmune issue. That has not even come up in any conversation with my doctors.

I didi read some where that some people suggested that autoimmune can be linked to this,

I have also heard it is a low immunity issue and since your nose is the first line of defense, it tends to get bombard with a number things allergies included and ur body have a hard time fight said substances causing ur nasal passages to stay in a constant inflamed state.

      But who knows.

this is also an ailment that unless u suffer from this U will ihave no idea.so I see why ur husband would assume what he does about your issue.

I am trying to stay away from surgery which has also been suggested

So here's to u also finding some type of relief.
