Chronic Stomach Bloating/Discomfort - Duodenitis

Hey all,
I've hit a wall trying to resolve my stomach issues. For the last few years, I've had stomach bloating/discomfort on a regular basis. The discomfort is not consistent, sometimes it's really bad, and other times it's barely noticeable, but it feels like it's always there in the background somewhat, every single day.
One of my most recent tests (endoscopy) did identify I have duodenitis (inflammation of the duodenum), but with no known cause. I've seen numerous doctors and specialists, using thousands of pounds on my private healthcare with no luck. I've had so many tests that I've lost count, but can recount the following:
-
Breath test to check for a bacteria
-
Stool test (checking for (H.Pylori)
-
Blood test (for vitamins and for gluten intolerance)
-
Ultrasound around my belly/gall bladder
-
MRI scan (lower bowel)
-
Good Bacteria Supplements (Symprove, Biokult, etc)
-
Low FODMAP diet
-
Cutting out processed foods
-
Antibiotics for a possible parasite
And... possibly others that I can't recall, because I've tried so much. This is starting to really get me down, and it's having a massive impact on my quality of life. The only possible triggers I've noticed are spicy foods, fatty foods, and stress/anxiety. However, even when all of those are removed/minimal... it doesn't seem to go away. I've just noticed they are triggers. I do not have any digestive issues (no diarrhoea or constipation)
I'm willing to try anything, does anyone have any ideas or experienced anything similar?
PS. I'm a Vegan, and was a Vegetarian (have been Vege since birth) when issues started.
Thank you

Hi Momoz, i could have written this myself.
Very similar story. I have had stomach discomfort and bloating for just over a year now. Initially settled after a few weeks of omeprazole but comes back a month or so after weaning myself off it.
Have been back on it for 3 months and symptoms are getting more persistent not less.
Have had blood tests and stool tests as well as 2 abdominal ultrasound scans. All normal.
Bloating is not constant. Sometimes very mild or even absent for a few days then flares up for a week or so. No endoscopy yet but GP likely to order soon i suspect.
Hard to identify triggers but stress and anxiety important. Fizzy drinks are a big no no for me.
I dont have any great advice but its nice to know you are not alone in this problem. I hope it eventually settles down for you. Will update if i find a useful answer.
Best wishes
