Chronic Tonsil Stones making it very difficult to swallow food

In late 2019/early 2020 I had several bouts of tonsillitis. During my first bout it was very difficult to swallow food but two weeks of penicillin caused the white spots to disappear and I could swallow fine again. Then a few months later I noticed the white spots had reappeared on my throat and I once again found it difficult to swallow food. I seen my doctor who prescribed me with penicillin again, however, unlike the last time the white spots did not disappear and I still found it very difficult to swallow food. This was in March 2020 just before the start of the pandemic. I seen my doctor virtually in April who said the white spots may be tonsil stones. However, he said tonsil stones cannot cause any problems swallowing and there must be another underlying issue. I seen the ENT specialist who examined my throat and determined that I had a fungal infection, after being on fungal medication for months and an endoscopy to rule out any infection of the oesophagus, aside from having GERD. My difficulty swallowing is not due to GERD as I was diagnosed 15 years ago and have never had problems swallowing food in my life until 2 years ago. I only briefly mentioned my tonsil stones to the throat specialist I seen as he was confident that the fungal infection was causing my swallowing problems. Despite my GP viewing tonsil stones as a minor issue and one that cannot cause problems swallowing, every medical website that I have been on including webmd, UPMC health, everydayhealth, and LondonENT website all say that a common symptom of tonsil stones is difficulty swallowing. I understand that the NHS do not generally remove tonsils if the issue is tonsil stones, however, I also understand that if they are causing a significant problem to health, such as being unable to swallow hard foods for over 18 months as is my case, they will make exemptions. Does anyone else have any knowledge on this area as it is stressing me out a lot and making me very anxious, especially considering that I have not been able to eat solid foods apart from fish, mash potato, lasagne since winter of 2019/20.

Thanks
