chronic tonsillitis

has anyone here had chronic tonsillitis for a very long time. im 37 and had chronic tonsillitis since being a teenager its on and off severe pains ear aches and headache tiredness. ive had antibiotics few times a year and some doctors told me its acid reflux the meds didnt do anything for it.one of the doctors finally did a culture of the throat and it came back as group b strep throat and they told me it should go away on its own but it never does. antibiotics made me feel better for short time til it got worse again. other doctors told me its stuck food in the tonsils causing irritation and that tonsillectomy is risky for adults.now the antibiotics arent working anymore. its miserable pains and wondering what anyone did in this situation. what are your experiences with this.
