Cimetidine?? After 7 months my 6.5 year old's Molluscum is finally gone!

My son started with one pimple in February on his inner elbow. Then 4/5 in his inner elbow. Then we start the Apple Cider Vinegar, tea tree oil... he was taking baths and the virus spread to his butt and side of his thigh. They were cyclical. It would take like 2-3 months for a Molluscum to go through the life cycle and then another would appear. Then his pediatrician prescribed oral Cimetidine - which is not usually used for Molluscum - and once again they began to dry up but no more came out. And after 2 months of taking it and then 2 more months! the last of the Molluscum finally dried up and now they are all gone. Soooooo - after all these months of hell and pulling our hair out, I can't say for sure the Cimetidine worked or the virus just "ran it's course" and we were lucky to get away with just 7 months. BUT I do believe it did prevent new ones from popping up. Check it out - especially good for children who have it on their genitals and face.

My 5 yr old son has MC for ~ 1 yr. He has atopic eczema behind knees. I noticed the bumps but they didn't bother him so I left them alone. But after months of them not disappearing, I started researching and found the name of this problem. I read every possible treatment and decided I'd start with the Apple cider vinegar. This aggravated his eczema causing a painful flare-up. So I tried clear nail polish. .. not painful but saw no change after weeks. I ordered conzerol cream and soap (not cheap) but noticed significant improvement quickly. Started on that about 2 months ago. The recommended use is 3x/day but I've been only using 1x at night, so I'm sure it wouldn't have taken as long if I used more frequently. Also started him on a probiotic (boosts immune system) 2 weeks ago and MC almost gone! Epsom salt baths 1x/week seem to help also. Otherwise, try to avoid soaking baths because the MC can spread to other body parts in water. I wished I'd tried these sooner cause it's been a real headache! Good luck!
