Cimzia

Hi all, I have been on Cimzia for the last 12 weeks, up until week 10 I was fine, but for the last two weeks I have been suffering from Virtigo.

Has anyone had the same? is there any treatment? or do i have to come off Cimzia?

You need to discuss this with your Doctor or RA Specialist, in that way they will make an informed choice. If you are suffering from Vertigo that may be another unrelated conition. For example.

I get Psoriasis in my ears and I made the error of putting steroid creams in my ears. This made the skin flake in the ear and blocked the auditory canal, this affects hearing on occasions.

Sometimes Vertigo can be affected by balance, balance is affected by the ears.

I am thinking outloud regards this. so it is just a thought.

      Hi Bob

Thanks for the reply, I have spoken to my Rhumy nurse yesterday, She has suggested that I miss my next injection, If the virtigo stops then its the Cimzia, If it does not stop then there is another issue. But its a case of illimination. I am hoping its not the Cimzia as it has worked wonders, she was surprised that i had been on it for 12 weeks and its only just started, so it may not be the Cimzia but without stopping it we will not know.

Good luck with the issue of elimination. If it would help look up the Cimiza on the NHS CHOICES Webpage and use their medication pages.

There is a section here that may help. you put your mind at rest.

This should put your mind to rest, the contraindications of this group of drugs is quite long

      Good Luck
