Hello,

Male, 25 year old, I was circumcised has a kid, I have those rashes since I can remember, I believe they are normal? I've been having a discomfort since Christmas, I don't know what caused it and how to stop it. The causes could be related to the following:

  1. I started using a product called "caster oil" it's an oil that softens the skin, a lot. I used it while I showered for at least two weeks, it's good for the hair as well. The time line between stop using it and the discomfort appearing was probably a month, maybe a month and half.

  2. I used to masturbate while I showered, I stopped (gas bills), I started using Vaseline (at the same time as I started applying caster oil), I've never used it before, never used any kind of lubricate. When I first started using it I noticed a slight pain in the highlighted region of the second image.

  3. I bought a new pair of underwear's, too tight, I almost immediately experienced the discomfort. Never used it again.

Those rashes in the second image are now appearing, they cause pain sometimes. I also noticed that the other rashes in the first picture are spreading up, not sure if it's normal or not. I also notice the corona region is a little bit bigger, it also changes size and color after urinate, the discomfort after urinating increases. I don't urinate more times during the day, no pain while urinating.

I bought a Candidiasis fungal cream, used it for three weeks, no improvements. I can't say the discomfort is increasing, it's the opposite, but maybe two months is too much time. One thing that decreases the discomfort is using Vaseline during the day but I'm afraid it would make the rashes worse, I've only done that twice.

Thank you for reading, hope you have an idea on what this could be.

Anyone have an idea? I'm more concerned about the rashes spreading upwards, and the new ones appearing or the right side causing a certain pain, I don't know if it's normal or not me being circumcised. The discomfort is slowly decreasing, I know it's not candida, I think it's not an urinary infection or it would cause pain urinating, I'm guessing it could be a trauma that is slowly healing.

If you want to help your penile skin, quite literally, STOP applying anything to it. You need to let the skin start the process of recovery to its natural state - this CANNOT occur if you apply ANYTHING to it, including soap and shower gel and other form of body wash. Wash with water, then fully dry with clean dry towel only you use.

Give yourself a masturbation holiday for as long as you can: 3 weeks is quite good, 3 months plus, starting to become totally heroic!

So, much of what you see on the glans / head of your penis is a direct result of being circumcised as the skin lost its natural source of hydration - do not try anything to hydrate it.

With the different things you have been applying, particularly for masturbation, you have created a skin reaction - remove ALL the sources of irritation and your penile skin will slowly start to recover.

The overall appearance will take a great deal of time to even begin to look different - and I am talking, 2, 3 years or even longer of avoiding all sources of irritation before it even begins to look healthier.

Long-term, once the rashes have cleared - and I would suggest not until at least 7 to 9 months - you

could consider using a very light coating of either Natural SHEA Butter or Pure Liquid Coconut Oil as a potential source of hydration, with the best time to apply being after a shower and fully drying yourself.

Thank you @Wee_Dugie@ for the clear and thorough information.

Do you think the discomfort I have been experiencing, that now, after two and half months is slowly decreasing in intensity came from the penile skin shock to sources of lubrication, softening's (castor oil, Vaseline)? Are there any indicatives of something like Balanitis, Candidiasis?

The simple essential is that your penile skin has had a severe reaction to something, or a combination of things placed on it - that is why I gave you the details of how to help your penile skin recover.

Balanitis is simply a generic name for redness and irritation being present on the head, or / and foreskin of the penis.

I have no idea whether you have Candidiasis, you would need to get tested for that ...
