Cirrhosis?

Spouse has been a heavy drinker for years.Since last year he's been having episodes of chills, nausea and jerking of his feet. He does have neuropathy in his feet from the alcohol abuse. This time he's had dry mouth along with these symptoms. Recently he did start a new blood pressure medicine which I suppose the dry mouth could be related with that medicine. Can symptoms of cirrhosis can they come and go?

Yes cirrhosis can go from compensated to noncompensated but the cirrhosis never leaves, hopefully he has completely stop drinking. He is probably feeling cold due to anemia, many people with liver disease have anemia and they feel cold. Also, look for bruising over his body, that can mean he is dealing with low platelets. good luck but the only chance he has to live is to stop drinking
