cirrhosis stages and symptoms

Hello I am new here and would like some advice. I have hepatitis c and completed six months treatment in November 2013. Unfortunately I'm May 2014 I found out that in was a relapser and that the hep c is back. In December 2014 I had a Fibroscan with a result of 21.6 kpa and was told that I have cirrhosis but I am not sure what stage I am f1,f2,f3, or f4. Also have white nails and my stomach is swollen. I am also having really bad nightmares and am wondering if this is a symptom of cirrhosis as well.

any help would be appreciatedĀ

Sorry to hear about your relapse. I too have just recently been diagnosed with cirrhosis and still waiting to find out what stage I am at( they are so slow). With regards to your swollen stomach it could possibly be what they call ascites which is a build up of fluid due to the liver not functioning correctly. I have had this twice now and both times needed to be admitted to hospital to have it drained off.it definitely needs checking out. Hope this has been of some use, take care

Thanks for your reply. I agree about everything being very slow it gives you to much time to worry,I spend hours trawling the Internet trying to find info. I am now suffering from incredible baditching it is all over but mainly on the palms of hand and soles of feet which drives me insane. The Dr has advised me to take Puritan which relieves it. Do you suffer from this?

i have an appointment at Kings college on the 20 of February so hopefully will be getting things sorted out and get help.
