Citalopram 10 weeks In. Is it still early days?

I've been on Citalopram for around 10 weeks, just under 3 weeks on 10mg and 7 weeks on 20mg. I'm not feeling much improvement as I thought I would of done after being on it this long. Is it early days to be noticing anything as this is the first time I've been on AD. I was put on it for Anxiety, but I have developed depression alongside now. Thoughts please.

i think you're still early days tbh and each increase sets you back to the beginning so although 10 weeks, it's really only 7 since the increase. i'm 11 weeks on 10 mg and still very up and down. morning anxiety not great but eases by the evening. i felt lifted in the 1st week and then all the side effects appeared and I've felt very down too......seems to be a side effect .....

If your still up and down, are you considering an increase. How long should I be giving an increase usually.

      hi

no i don't want to increase as i don't want more side effects. i would say you need at least 3 months between increases but i'm going to give it longer as some sag 6 months. it really is a game of patience i'm afraid but hold in there, you're early days on your increase and have plenty of time to improve yet.
