Citalopram 2 weeks and feeling worse. Normal?!

I started 10mg of Citalopram 13 days ago and its been a ROLLERCOASTER! The first week was very up and down but ok and I had some ok days and slept great. The second week hasn't been so fun. I've had struggle sleeping (not new though, I've struggled with sleep on and off my entire life), I've had moments of feeling so hopeless and spaced out. I've felt drugged and like I'd lose my mind too and tonight I feel very anxious.

To also note, I am petrified of taking any drug, including painkillers, so it's been a struggle to get me to try this, especially after an AWFUL experience with Sertraline.

I know that I've seen the first 2/3 weeks are generally awful, then it kind of levels out for a bit and then starts improving, but I feel lonely in this and like I don't know if its normal or not to feel like this at nearly 2 weeks? Any advice? I'm having no luck with professionals support

      Hi Lorraine,

Thank you for confirming it's all normal. Frustratingly I actually had a better day today, felt hopeful and good, but then when I got into bed, anxiety started. So exhausted and keep dropping off but never for long as feel very panicky. I don't normally feel this bad, so that's very annoying.

As soon as I think I'm coming out the otherside, something else happens!
