Citalopram 20 to 10 withdrawal

Hi.

I started taking citalopram mid november 2021, had every side effect possible.

Also taking half a trazodone, lowered to a quarter a month ago. (for sleep)

As I was having extreme facial pain as a side effect that wouldn't go away, my psychiatrist decided to lower my dose to 10mg (half a dose)

Starting EMDR therapy as of tomorrow.

Started citalopram for burnout, ptsd as my body would be in fight or flight non stop. Also had extreme insomnia as a result.

Now after lowering the dose, i'm again unable to sleep... I'm so anxious as I immediately think I'll be back to my extreme insomnia of 7 months ago...

Is this a common withdrawal, insomnia ?, when lowering a dose. How long does it usually last 😦

I'm so done with being in this hell for almost a year now...
