Citalopram 20mg forgotten dose

Hi all,

Quick question...I have been on citalopram 20mg for 11months.

I am/was feeling great,so to everyone just starting,stick with it, it does work.

Last week i forgot to take it in the morning when i usually take it.

I took it when i remembered which was 35 hours since my last dose.

My anxiety is crippling me again.

Has anyone forgotten their dose??

I never have,so not sure if what i'm going through is normal.

    Missing one dose doesn't tend to bother me but after missing two it is noticeable.

    Hello,

    I missed a 40mg dose of Citalopram a few times and the side effect of this was low mood but more wakefulness. I believe the smaller dose you are taking is more geared towards combating anxiety so it makes sense that you would feel some anxiety if you missed a dose.

    It took 3 weeks for me to stabilise again.

    I never want to miss another dose.

    I was put on them for depression & anxiety
