citalopram 4 weeks

hi, im new here and this is my first post. i have been on citalopram for nearly 4 and a half weeks due to depression, anxiety and ocd. i made the mistake of coming off my last antidepressant too early last year resulting into me needing to go back on something in february.
i take 20mg in a morning (ive tried both morning and night to see which time works better to take it). my issue is the sleep. getting to sleep doesnt seem to be an issue but staying asleep and waking up at 5/6am every morning does.
i have tried relaxation videos, mindfulness, not being on my phone before bed, having hot baths with herbal remedies etc. i have tried drinking herbal teas, no caffeine, reading. i have tried near enough everything! i have asked the doctors whether id be allowed sleeping tablets and they said no as it would interfere with my citalopram. the same with herbal sleeping tablets too. i feel a little lost as im exhausted throughout the day, unable to focus on my work and not wanting to do anything. the lack of sleep seems to make my anxiety worse.
i had this issue with my last antidepressant- sertraline, however i cant remember it lasting over four weeks.
i currently take propranolol along with my citalopram, i usually have 30mg in a morning as my anxiety is at its worse when i wake up, and then 10mg at night time as i seem to have calmed down by then. would it be worth taking 30mg at night time too? would that help me sleep through a little longer? i dont really know what to suggest anymore, im running out of options so hopefully someone out there has more experience than i do!
thankyou!

The sleep issues didn't get better for me until around week 6. I don't think anything you do will help, because it seems you're trying so much it's become something you rumminate over and worry about constantly. Which in turn causes more sleep issues. Your best bet is to just let it be. Try to go to bed with a positive mind set. Yeah I may still feel tired tomorrow, but this is because of my body getting used to the meds and it will go in time. Try to just accept it temporarily and not over think it. Ride it out and your sleep will improve I promise.
