    Hi Joanne,

I too have been on and off citalopram, have been on 20mg for about a year. I'm 44 and perimenopausal too. My anxiety is definitely getting worse. I think its peri.

      Hi Hazel.

Thanks for your reply. i was at my wit's end trying to work out what to do for the best. I was thinking it was peri but was doubting my own sanity and if the citalopram was still working. we desperately want answers and foe things to be ok. I've been on hrt since monday and im hoping that will help. I feel nauseous, indigestion and headache but will persevere if it helps with all the other symptoms . Are you taking HRT?

Hi yes i have been on Everol Sequi for 4 months. It helps quickly with some symptoms like hot flushes, I've not had one since starting HRT, btu they say 3 months for full benefit. I wouldn't say I'm 100% still have lots of weird symptoms and my anxiety still comes and goes.
