    Hey there,

Alcohol makes me very tired. I have only had the odd bottle of beer though. I have heard other people talk about it and they have talked about anxiety. I'm sorry I can't be more help x

Hiya.. I was on cit for 7 weeks.. The few times I did drink I was ok. On a bad night I even managed 2 bottles of wine!!..oddly enough I use to get bad anxiety with hangovers but my anxiety wasn't as bad!!.. Not saying I felt well tho!. And I didn't take my tablet that night..I m not encouraging anyone to drink here!!.. It does say avoid it!, but from what I ve read here most people are ok with a few! X

I've taken Citralopram for 15 years and still drink wine or lager if going out.  I haven't ever noticed anything different to when I wasn't taking the medicine.  So ethi esm I feel jaded the next day, but put it down to a bit of a hangover :-)

It might be the anxiety you're feeling is to do with the alcohol, especially if you haven't mixed the 2 before?

It does say to avoid alcohol, but think most medications say that.  I don't think I could avoid it for the 15 years I've taken Citralopram ..... too long. :-D

Typo ...... it was meant to say 'sometimes I feel jaded.....' not 'so ethi esm'

... and no, I haven't been drinking lol

Hi, I don't drink very often, but I find that if I have a few vodkas (I used to drink wine but it gets me really drunk on cit) I have to right off the next few days, it's not so bad but just feel a bit edgey and tired.......going to pick my moments carefully over the festive season!

Well the patients having on citalopram 20mg or any anti depression product alcohol intake should be avoided as they will not give you desire sleep or mind stability
