Citalopram and weight issues

can anyone tell me how much Citalopram can affect weight? I increased my dose from 20mg to 40mg back in early Jan and had some weight gain. GP reduced dosage to 30 mg as she wasn't happy with me on the high dose for long periods. My depression has improved and I'm about to return to work. I maintain a healthy diet (low carb) and have massively increased my exercise to help with both fitness and low mood. However, despite all this the weight has hardly changed at all. Is Citalopram having an effect?

    citalopram can affect weight, ive lost too much since ive reduced to 6mg im 8 stone 3 and 5 foot 8 x

    i am currently on 10mg and i have found myself gaining weight since being on the tablets. i found myself craving carbs at one point but that seems to have stopped. i have also increased my excersise to try and minimise the weight gain.

    absolutely, iv been on them for about 3 years, i find it hard to loose weight but it is coming off slowly, when this med works to full effect its funny how it loves the calories, good luck
