Citalopram Blip

Hiya everyone, iv read this forum a lot lately. I started citalopram almost 11 weeks ago. i started on 10mg for 6 weeks then went up to 15mg until now. I had a really good couple of weeks recently and overall improved a lot but crashed the other day (due to stress i believe) iv been considering going up to 20mg and decided to do it this morning as been feeling really anxious and crap. Just wandering if this is and decision/time to increase dose as i was feeling good on 15mg and have only been on it 3-4 weeks. Also any encouraging words and success stories to get me through the blip would he great. I know its just a blip and i'm still so much better than the beginning but just feels horrible having that flight or fight feeling back! Thanks in advance

    Hi Harry,

please bare with it, changing dose does bring back side effects so it may be just the increase that has increased your depression/anxiety I have only been on my 20mg dose for 8weeks, i was instantly put on 20mg and my anxiety was the worst i have had to deal with, but 8 weeks in and i feel so much better, its more controllable and not so controlling, if that makes sense.

Please bare with it for a few more weeks and see how you feel. I hope it eases soon x
