HI all have been on escitalopram 5mg for 9 weeks now, only had one bad day for the last week, so i can assume it's working, what i would like to know is what's the difference between the two, i have read on here that 10mg was the minimum therapeutic dose, i guess that was a reference to citalopram,

20mg is believed to be the the theraputic dose of citalopram

and the theraputic dose of escitlopram is 10mg. as it's slightly stronger

some people do really well on below the theraputic dose though x

when did you start to notice improvements?

about a week ago, was really beginning to think there really was something seriously wrong with me, now having a whole week feeling ok i think i can convince myself it's all down to anxiety and try and get on with my life.

the fact you improved tor a bit is a really good sign bud.! youll still be up and down but it will get better as time goes on. well done for sticking it out as it's not bloody easy to say the least!
